The Bluetooth Headset PTT Original combination of BT devices will allow a portable radio user much more freedom of hand movement during a radio conversation than with a typical portable two-way radio that is held in the users hand.
The PTT button of this headset is incorporated into the headset clamped to the users ear. Each time that the user has to press the PTT, he will have to bring his hand up to his ear to push the button on the earpiece. For receiving signals the user does not have to do anything which will leave his hands open for other tasks.
This specific BT combination has been specifically developed for Policing, Guarding & Security operations where the amount of receiving time far exceeds transmission time from the portable radio user e.g. typically responding to commands given from a control room with CCTV monitoring to direct guards and security personnel to do specific tasks.
In a Policing environment this option allows the user to stay in radio contact when he leaves his vehicle without having to first look for his portable radio. The radio can remain attached to his belt and he can communicate through it without having to take it off the belt and holding it in his hand like a conventional user would.
The headset resembles a typical Bluetooth Cellular phone headset and can therefore be worn in clandestine operations as well without attracting much attention.
